Qloss is a chemical engineering company and each year we handle large quantities of chemicals. This means that we always consider the environmental impacts of our activities, at both individual and corporate levels, and this awareness is an integral part of our daily processes and operations. Our laboratory staff work actively to produce environmentally-friendly products that guarantee we do not cause harm to humans, animals or the natural environment.

All Qloss products are registered in the BASTA construction products database. This is the industry’s only independent environmental assessment system for building and construction products. BASTA’s requirements for chemical content are based on the European Union’s regulation for chemical safety (REACH). Inclusion in the BASTA database guarantees that the product is environmentally-friendly and future-proof and also gives access to all markets in the EU. We are proud to say that Qloss is a market leader when it comes to producing surface coating products that are as environmentally-friendly as possible!

CONSIDERATION IN ALL OUR CHOICES
We work hard to leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. Products are manufactured sustainably in our factory with 0% waste. Everything is recycled back into production and no raw materials are discarded or thrown away. We collect the packaging that comes into our factory and all waste is sent for recycling. All purchases are made as locally as possible and we try to avoid long transport routes in order to protect the environment as much as possible. We only buy organic fruit and milk, and all the coffee we drink is Fairtrade and carbon balanced. In other words, looking after the environment is a key consideration in all our choices.

We take our responsibility to minimise our negative impact on the environment and we incorporate our sustainability efforts into our daily operations to ensure that we are an attractive company with a strong focus on environmental issues. We aim to set a good example for other companies, so that more of us support relief organisations and protect our natural environment for our future generations.
